Private lessons are akin to personal training in many ways. One-on-one training just beats classroom teaching in so many ways. With private teaching, the student gets much-needed one-on-one time which assists in establishing proper embouchure, technique and playing quality that large group learning doesn't afford.

Crystal's Lesson Info
Crystal teaches trumpet and beginning piano. Students would need to be willing to practice 20-30 minutes per day (more is better) on assigned practice.
Crystal takes time to make sure the student is playing with proper embouchure, fingerings, and tone quality. If students are willing to put the work in to master the fundamentals, the more advanced concepts will come easily.

Jeff's Lesson Info
Jeff mainly teaches jazz saxophone and classical saxophone. However, he occassionally takes some rhythm guitar or drum set students, depending upon the ability and level of responsibility of the prospective student.
Classical saxophone deals with fundamentals, scales, personal practice time, technique, tone quality, etc. I recommend students have 2-3 years of solid playing before diving into jazz. Beginning and intermediate students would need to purchase these books, alongside their school band books.
